Playing for the first time in five days, the Minnesota Twins lost 6-1 to the Cleveland Indians in the first of a two-game Puerto Rico Series.
Even if the Twins were a bit rusty after having three straight games postponed because of snow, it might not have mattered since they were hitting against Indians ace right-hander Corey Kluber.
Kluber allowed just 1 run on 5 hits and 2 walks over 6 2/3 innings, and Minnesota didn’t touch him up until Brian Dozier’s RBI double with two outs in the seventh inning.

Jake Odorizzi was fine for the Twins until Francisco Lindor, a native of Puerto Rico, got him with a 2-run homer in the fifth.

Odorizzi then allowed back-to-back homers to Jose Ramirez and Michael Brantley in the sixth, and that was it for him.
Jose Berrios, also a native of Puerto Rico, will start for the Twins in front of his hometown fans on Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 6:10 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN.
Note: Byron Buxton was a late scratch on Tuesday because of a migraine headache.
