Dallas Cowboys linebacker and former Gopher football standout Damien Wilson was arrested Tuesday, accused of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Police said Wilson intentionally backed his truck into a woman while parking at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, then flashed a rifle at a man, WFAA-TV in Dallas reports. The incident happened Tuesday during a Fourth of July celebration at the stadium.
Wilson was released after posting a $20,000 bail, according to the Minnesota Daily. The incident is under investigation and at this point, it doesn’t appear Wilson has been formally charged.
The former Gopher – who was a fourth-round pick in 2015 by Dallas – started five games for the Cowboys last season and has appeared in all 32 games since joining the league.
He lead the U of M in tackles and tackles for loss during his senior season in 2014.
