Flip Saunders died of cancer just days before the current NBA season began, and tonight, the Timberwolves will honor their former coach with the first Flip Saunders Legacy Award.
The award is given to a player on the team who demonstrates the “greatest involvement in the community.”
The winner will be presented with a trophy before the Wolves play the New Orleans Pelicans at 7 p.m.
