P.J. Fleck’s 2018 recruiting class improved Sunday night when a four-star defensive end recruit out of Ohio verbally committed to play for the Gophers.
Alex Reigelsperger withdrew his commitment to Kentucky last week and announced Sunday that he’s coming to Minnesota to “Row the Boat” with Coach Fleck.
ESPN says he’s a four-star kid while 247 Sports gives him a high three stars.
According to his 247 Sports profile, Reigelsperger has more than 20 offers and is considered the No. 14 defensive end in the class of 2018.
Wisconsin, Iowa, West Virginia, Louisville and Tennessee were among the schools offering him a full ride.
Per 247 Sports, Minnesota’s 2018 recruiting class currently ranks eighth-best in the Big Ten.
