The University of Minnesota men’s hockey team came up short in their first game of 2012. The Gophers lost to fifth-ranked Notre Dame in the U.S. Hall of Fame Game at Mariucci arena Saturday night. In the last three minutes the Gophers scored twice, but the Fighting Irish still handed Minnesota their second consecutive loss with a final score of 4-3.
