We’re trumping Sage Rosenfels retirement with a Brett Favre headline, just like Rosenfels career was trumped by Brett in 2009.
Favre update: He is busy pushing pain cream and receiving unofficial accolades from former teammates.
Coming in second once again, a Rosenfels update: The NFL veteran who spent two seasons with the Vikings without making a start or even throwing a pass, is hanging up the cleats.
Rosenfels started just 12 games in his 10 NFL seasons, and came to Minnesota after showing flashes of ability in 2007 and 2008 with Houston when filling in for injured starter Matt Schaub.
Rosenfels will most likely be remembered for signing with Minnesota and allegedly being told he would compete with Travarias Jackson for the starting QB spot, before being trumped by the signing of Favre.
Happy trails and good luck to Brett…Oh, and Sage.
We’re mean, but so is everyone else.
