The Packers have made it clear that they will likely retire Brett Favre’s No. 4 jersey sometime in the future. In an interview NFL Network, Favre asked, “Why?” He said people might think he is crazy, but he doesn’t need to have a day to retire his jersey “to solidify my career.”
As for his time with the Vikings, specifically in 2010, he says he came back for a second try with Minnesota because “the money was too good.” Favre made $16.5 million that season — a season in which he didn’t expect to make the playoffs because ““it was going to be next to impossible” for the Vikings to play as well in 2010 as they did in 2009.
