The “Quarterback” documentary has been released on Netflix, and the early reactions concerning Vikings QB Kirk Cousins are coming in – and they’re on the whole positive ones.
Cousins has proven a polarizing figure since he joined the Vikings in 2018, with his $84 million contract carrying a weight of expectations that hasn’t always been matched by results on the field, while the onset of the COVID pandemic put the spotlight on the locker room leader for his apparent unwillingness to get vaccinated.
But the tide began to turn somewhat during an exciting 2022-23 season that saw the Vikings go 13-4 with Cousins leading the team on a series of 4th quarter comebacks, with fans seeing a fresh side to Kirk through the “Kirko Chainz” phenomenon.
The early verdict indicates that the Netflix series could prove another PR win for Cousins, whose wholesome image was burnished across the eight episodes despite the disappointing end to the season at home to the New York Giants.
The main theme of the reaction is “we find it hard to dislike” Cousins, which is doubtless aided by his unbelievable Midwestern Dad energy.
The question now is whether such goodwill extends to the new NFL season…
Tell me how you can hate Kirk cousins after watching the quarterback

So far Quarterback is confirming that Kirk Cousins is just your average midwestern dad who happens to play the most important position in the NFL.

Quarterback on Netflix is really good. It’s cool to get a better look into what they think and feel. These guys are really sensitive and I love it. I like how Kirk Cousins showed on camera him attending therapy after the games.
