The first night of dorm life for grown millionaire football players at Minnesota Vikings training camp in Mankato was highlighted by a false fire alarm.
Based on the picture taken by team photographer Andy Kenutis, it looks like defensive end Everson Griffen and running back Adrian Peterson (we think that’s him with the hood on), are pictured standing outside, among other players and staff.

Actually, defensive end Brian Robison thought it might have been a stunt pulled by new head coach Mike Zimmer.

The Vikings reported to Mankato for camp on Thursday and today they begin practicing. The team will hold a morning walkthrough, which will be followed by an afternoon practice.
Typically, the first few days of camp are used to install the offensive, defensive and special teams playbooks. The team will wear full pads during practice for the first time on Sunday.
If you missed it yesterday, the big stories were special teams coordinator Mike Priefer discussing the Chris Kluwe situation, and head coach Mike Zimmer announcing that nine-year veteran Matt Cassel is currently on top of the quarterback depth chart.
