Adrian Peterson, Case Keenum and Sam Bradford all made their regular season debuts with new teams on Sunday, and it’s hard to argue that Peterson had the most impressive showing of them all.
Adrian Peterson
The 33-year-old running back who was cast off by the Vikings and Saints before struggling to stay healthy with Arizona last season, rushed 26 times for 96 yards and a touchdown, in addition to catching two passes for 70 yards. Fifty-two of his receiving yards came on a garbage time play that ended with him losing a fumble.

“I’m back and I’m ready to roll,” said Peterson, whose touchdown was the 100th of his career, moving him ahead of Jim Brown for 10th in NFL history.

“I left a lot of yards out there,” Peterson said, via ESPN.com. “Conditioning, I felt strong. My eyes, for whatever reason, aren’t as sharp as I expected them to be. There were some missed holes there, some missed opportunities. That happens.”
Sam Bradford
While Peterson was once again proving his doubters wrong, Sam Bradford, in his first season with the Cardinals, had a terrible performance, finishing 20-of-34 for 154 yards with no touchdowns and an interception.
According to Arizona Central, his statistics have been worse than they were Sunday just eight times in his 80-game career.
“It could’ve been footwork,” Bradford explained after the 24-6 loss. “It could’ve been bad timing. You know, obviously, that’s a little uncharacteristic of my game, so definitely will watch the film tomorrow and see where that came from.”
Case Keenum
Keenum, who led the Vikings to the NFC title game last season, helped the Broncos stave off the Seahawks 27-24, but his three interceptions were directly responsible for 17 points.
“That’s 17 points that I’m responsible for. I know that, I realize that, it’s something that I’m going to fix and that I’m going to be better at,” he said, via Broncos Wire. “But I’m excited because we’re going to be a really good football team. We are a really good football team.”
Overall, he finished 25-of-39 for 329 yards, three touchdowns and three picks.
