Former Vikings linebacker Erin Henderson was sentenced to two years of probation after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor DWI charge, earlier this week.
The agreement will keep Henderson out of jail after two DWI arrests in a span of less than two months.
According to WCCO, terms of Henderson’s two year probation are that he must remain law-abiding, have no driver’s license violations, have no alcohol-related traffic offenses and complete treatment.
He was also fined more than $1,000.

Avoiding jail time was a key part of the deal for Henderson. He can now start looking for work with other teams in the NFL. While there hasn’t been a lot of interest yet, with his legal situation cleared up, Henderson may be able to find work.
Henderson was released by the Vikings in February after his second arrested for alleged drunk driving. He had one year remaining on his contract.
He was arrested on suspicion of DWI and drug use in November of last year and again on New Year’s Day. He has not signed with another team.
In a letter to TMZ, Henderson said he is “grateful” that his arrests helped him understand he was hurting himself, and his family.
