John Gordon, a staple of the Twins radio broadcast booth for more than two decades, is one of 10 broadcasters being considered for entry into Cooperstown.
According to the Star-Tribune, Gordon is a finalist for the Ford C. Frick Award for excellence in baseball broadcasting. He’ll find out if he gets into the Hall of Fame on Dec. 4, at baseball’s winter meetings.
Gordon told Pioneer Press writer Charley Walters that he was “shaking” when he heard the news. “Just to be on the ballot is an honor,” he said.
