Ex-Packers defensive back Charles Woodson is still a free agent.
When he was first released by Green Bay, Woodson said he would only play for a contender, but because he still hasn’t found a team, he’s lowering his standards.
“I know I am towards the end of my career,” Woodson said in an interview with NFL Network. “At this point, I want to play football. So if it is a rebuilding stage, at this point if that is the circumstances I have to play under, then that is what I am going to do.”
At 36 years old, Woodson’s name hasn’t been brought up in Minnesota on a wide-ranging scale, but what if the Vikings signed him to play safety?
Michael Rand explored the question back in February.
We ask: Why not? Here’s some of the reaction.
@JoeNelsonKFAN @PaulCharchian we r not "rebuilding" we r reloading. So, no thanks. #Faith
