Former Gophers quarterback MarQueis Gray participated in the University of Minnesota’s Pro Day on Monday in hopes of catching the attention of an NFL team.
Gray’s future, if he has one in the NFL, will come as a quarterback, wide receiver or tight end. He ran a 4.73 second 40 yard dash at the NFL Combine, and made a slight improvement on Monday, running it in 4.67 seconds.
He tells the Pioneer Press that he’ll “always be a quarterback,” but if an NFL team wants him to play another position he’ll be happy to adjust.
Vikings offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave told the Pioneer Press that Gray “did very well at the combine” and was “very sharp in the interviews.”
