U.S. Bank Stadium is sold out for all of the Vikings 2016 home games.
For those fortunate enough to have tickets, and are planning to head to U.S. Bank Stadium or for any other home game, here are a few things you’ll want to know about game day.
Parking/Transportation
- You can guarantee your parking spot for all Vikings home games by purchasing single-game parking passes for the lots surrounding the stadium.
- The stadium also serves as the connection point for the Green Line and Blue Line. Vikings fans can purchase an All-Day Pass for the same price as a roundtrip ticket – eliminating the need to stand in line for a return ticket.
- Metro Transit will also use Blue Line buses to take fans non-stop from the stadium to Fort Snelling and the Mall of America only. The buses will leave from the northwest corner of Medtronic Plaza at 4th Street and Chicago Avenue.
- SouthWest Transit will also take Vikings fans to the stadium from the southwest Metro. Those stops are:
- East Creek in Chaska
- SouthWest Village in Chanhassen
- SouthWest Station in Eden Prairie
Stadium Gates
The Vikings will open gates to U.S. Bank Stadium starting two-and-a-half hours prior to game time. For simplicity the team is asking fans to:
- Please enter the gate designated on your ticket
- If you’re using your mobile phone for ticket entry, please have the QR code ready for scanning.
Security
Everyone entering the stadium will walk through metal detectors or be scanned with hand held wands to search for prohibited items.
The Bag Policy
The Vikings encourage fans not to bring any type of bag into games, however they will continue to enforce the NFL Bag Policy. That means there are strict limits to the type and size of bags allowed in the stadium on game day:
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″
- One-gallon clear plastic bag
- Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle strap.
