ESPN NBA insider Chad Ford is speculating on Thursday’s NBA Draft, and he thinks the Timberwolves have narrowed their list of draft picks to four players.
The four in the mix for the No. 5 pick in the draft:
- Kris Dunn, PG, Providence
- Jamal Murray, PG/SG, Kentucky
- Jaylen Brown, SG/SF, California
- Marquese Chris, PF, Washington
“I think you can scratch Dragan Bender off the board there even though I actually think he would be a very, very nice fit for them,” Ford said in the Locked On NBA podcast. “I think you can scratch Buddy Hield off the board there in Minnesota as well. I think this is Kris Dunn, Jamal Murray, Jaylen Brown and Marquese Chris – I think those are the four guys that are in the mix there.”

But Ford actually has Bender included in his four possibilities to Minnesota in his mock draft from June 18, so maybe something has changed? In his mock, he has the Wolves taking Dunn.
Other mocks:
- CBS Sports: Buddy Hield
- NBADraft.net: Kris Dunn
- Bleacher Report: Buddy Hield
- Sports Illustrated: Buddy Hield
Here’s what Jaylen Brown can do.

Murray is a great 3-point shooter and we wrote more about him right here.
The Ringer calls Marquese Chriss the biggest gamble in the draft.
