
The Minnesota Vikings defense took a major blow before the opening kickoff on Sunday as Eric Kendricks was ruled out with a calf injury. The Vikings linebacker was injured during pre-game warmups and came up lame during a drill was ruled out for the entire game shortly before kickoff.
The loss of Kendricks is a big one for the Vikings as he ranks third in Pro Football Focus’ overall grades among qualifying linebackers.
With the All-Pro out of the lineup, Jacksonville drove down the field on the opening drive to put Minnesota in a 6-0 hole early in the game.
