It’s been less than a month since the Vikings gave the starting middle linebacker job to rookie Eric Kendricks, but what he’s done with it since garnered him some much deserved recognition from the NFL.
Kendricks, the Vikings’ second-round pick out of UCLA, has been named the NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Month for October.

- 2003 – Kevin Williams, DT
- 2007 – Adrian Peterson, RB (twice)
