Eric Decker has done a lot of remarkable things on the football field – from his days at Rocori High School to his college days with the Gophers and in his NFL career with the Broncos and Jets. But those highlights pale in comparison to the good he’s doing off the field.
Decker will be returning to Minnesota for his annual football camp in Cold Spring on June 27. According to the St. Cloud Times, Decker has missed the last three years of the camp for other commitments. The camp costs $10 and is open to kids in grades two through nine.
After back-to-back years in Denver with more than 1,000 yards and double-digit touchdown receptions, Decker finished his first season in New York with 74 catches for 962 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Decker recently hosted a football camp in New Jersey and spent time with a boy who has spent seven of his eight years of life fighting brain cancer. The boy was selected as a “Hatton Wish Participant,” which provides children opportunities to attend camps and meet professional athletes. Read more from Tap into New Providence.
But using his talents as a football player isn’t the only way Decker is impacting communities.
Earlier this week, Decker and his wife, country music star Jessie James Decker, hosted “On Deck with the Deckers” in Nashville. It was the first annual casino night as part of the Eric and Jessie Decker Foundation, which supports U.S. military members.
The foundation’s main program is “Deckers Dogs.” It funds the rescue of canines that would otherwise be euthanized in a shelter. The dogs are then trained to become service pets for veterans dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Thanks to @jessiejamesdecker and @edeck87 for a great night and great cause. Honored to be a part of it #deckerdogs pic.twitter.com/QqauvozLW3
