Stadium builders have started studying the potential environmental effects of replacing the Metrodome in downtown Minneapolis, including traffic during and after construction, air and water quality and the impact of the stadium lights, MPR reports. The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority is taking public input on the environmental impact through the end of the month. The full report is due next summer.
HKS Inc., the Dallas-based firm hired to design the new nearly $1 billion home of the Minnesota Vikings, is expected to unveil stadium drawings early next year.
