A new era in electronic gaming in the state could begin next week.
The hand-held electronic pulltab devices that Minnesota is counting on to help finance its share of the Vikings stadium may turn up in bars and restaurants Tuesday, provided the state’s gambling control board approves them, the Pioneer Press reports.
In the legislation approving the $975 million, the state committed to raising $348 million by allowing electronic pull-tabs and bingo in bars and restaurants.
Meanwhile, the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority announced Friday that the selection of the architect of the new Vikings stadium will come by early October, if not sooner.
