Ahead of spring practice for the Gophers football team, PJ Fleck announced Tuesday that wide receiver Dylan Wright is “no longer with the program.”
The 21-year-old receiver transferred to Minnesota in 2020 after spending his freshman season at Texas A&M. Wright, a junior, is not currently listed in the transfer portal so it’s unclear what his future with football is.
He was a rated a 4-star recruit by 247Sports coming out of high school.
Wright had 35 catches for 645 yards and 3 touchdowns in two seasons as a Gopher.
Fellow receiver Mike Brown-Stephens entered the transfer portal earlier this month.
The Gophers will have Chris Autman-Bell returning from a season-ending injury as well as transfers Corey Crooms and Elijah Spencer joining the team. Senior Daniel Jackson is also expected to contribute to the receiving depth, as is returning tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford.
