The Minnesota Twins bounced back from a three-game sweep in New York to take the series opener in Baltimore 15-2, Thursday night at Camden Yards.
The win moved the Twins back within a game of .500.
It didn’t start off too quickly for either team, as the game was delayed by a 2:31 minute rain delay.

But once it got going, so did the Twins. Minnesota took the early lead Thursday night and really never looked back. A five-run second inning, highlighted by a two-run single from Kurt Suzuki and a double from Eduardo Escobar.
It was the first of three hits on the night for Suzuki. He finished 3-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and two RBIs. Escobar was also 3-for-5 with a home run, a double and two RBIs.
The Twins added to the lead in the fifth on a two-run homer from Miguel Sano to take the 7-0 lead.

Eddie Rosario also had a big night for the Twins he was 3-for-5 with 2RBIs and a run scored. In all the Twins combined for 18 hits.
All of that run support went to help Twins starter Tyler Duffey, though he wouldn’t need much of it. Duffey was outstanding, he began the game with seven shutout innings, but Baltimore finally got to him in the eighth.
Duffey finished with his second Major League victory, allowing two runs on 10 hits in 7 2/3 innings, while striking out eight. At one point the young right-hander retired 12 straight.
