The Minnesota Wild shutout the Toronto Maple Leafs 1-0 last night at the Xcel Energy Center. It’s the second consecutive victory for the Wild.
1. Dubnyk stands tall
Wild goaltender Devan Dubnyk continued his strong play in net Thursday night. He kept the Maple Leafs scoreless on 28 shots. It is Dubnyk’s fourth shutout of the season.
In the last two games, both Wild wins, Dubnyk has surrendered just one goal in six periods.
2. Dumba nets the game’s lone goal
Wild defenseman Matt Dumba is known for his menacing slap shot. Well, he had a chance to unleash it Thursday night, and it caught the twine to put the Wild on the scoreboard.

3. A key call
The game came down to a key call in the closing minutes. Toronto appeared to score the game-tying goal, but a review showed the Maple Leafs were offside.
