The Minnesota Vikings are in the final day of the 2024 NFL Draft and after adding J.J. McCarthy and Dallas Turner on Thursday night, they’ll look to add more talent with five selections in the final three rounds.
The Vikings were on the clock early with the 108th overall pick and used it to select Oregon cornerback Khyree Jackson.
Jackson traveled across the country during his collegiate career, enrolling at Arizona Western College but taking a year off in 2018 before attending Fort Scott Community College in Kansas and East Mississippi Community College in 2018.
Jackson spent the 2021 and 2022 seasons with Alabama before transferring to Oregon last season where he made 34 tackles (five for loss), with a team-high 10 pass deflections and three interceptions.
At 6-foot-3 and 194 pounds, Jackson projects as a press-man cornerback at the next level.
Jackson joins returning starters Mekhi Blackmon and Byron Murphy Jr., free agent addition Shaquille Griffin and incumbents Akayleb Evans and Andrew Booth Jr. in the Vikings’ cornerback room.
