Believe it or not, the Twins aren’t going away in the race for spot in the American League playoffs.
Tuesday’s 11-4 win over the Brewers coupled with a third straight loss by the Royals has the Twins just 1.5 games behind the Royals and Mariners for the second wild card.
Minnesota went on a home run binge in Tuesday’s assault of the Brewers. Brian Dozier hit his first career grand slam while Max Kepler and Eddie Rosario each homered twice.
Dozier has not lived up to the power hype after hitting 42 homers last season. But with four homers in his last five games (21 on the season), Dozier might be getting hot just when the Twins need him most.
