With just 16 games to go after Wednesday’s game against the Tigers, the Twins don’t have much to look forward to other than watching Brian Dozier try to win the home run crown.
Dozier smashed his 41st homer of the season in the Twins’ 5-run fourth inning to move within one homer of MLB leader Mark Trumbo. Trumbo had 41 homers entering Wednesday but he connected on his 42nd homer to maintain the lead.
The Twins lost 9-6.
