It was deflation day for the Metrodome. The dome’s roof deflated for the fourth and final time Saturday morning, according to KSTP.
It only took 35 minutes, according to the Star Tribune. But you can watch a time-lapse video that takes only seconds.

FOX 9 reports that Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority officials said the deflation went as planned.

Deflation of the Metrodome roof began Saturday morning at 7:15 a.m when power was cut to the air supply that held up the roof.
The roof will have a future, according to FOX 9. It will be cut into pieces and used to make construction tarps.
Saturday afternoon, project teams were on site dismantling the Metrodome to make way for the new stadium.
Early morning wind led to a pre-dawn meeting where officials decided to go ahead with the deflation.

Authorities had said if the wind was 15 miler per hour or more, they would hold off.
Instead, they sped it up. The dome deflated quickly. You can see what it looks like now on the Vikings’ live webcam.
Just before 7 a.m., the wind was blowing from the east at 14 miler per hour, according to the Weather Underground. A winter weather advisory is in effect until 6 p.m.
However, after a meeting officials chose to go forward with the deflation of the dome.
The Minnesota Sports Facilities Commission is asking people to stay away from the construction site.
But Hubert’s,the restaurant across the street held a dome deflation party on Saturday, featuring 1982 prices to celebrate the year the dome came into existence.
