It was another ugly one for the Minnesota Twins, as they fell to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 7-0 Tuesday night in Los Angeles.
The loss was the third straight for the Twins and their second straight ugly one. On the other hand, the Angels have now won six straight and 17 of their last 21.
Matt Schomaker (5-7) tossed six shutout innings, holding the Twins to two hits, while walking three and striking out 10.
The luck wasn’t anywhere near as good for Twins starter Kyle Gibson (8-7). He struggled all night, giving up six runs on 10 hits in five plus innings.
The Twins offense wasn’t any better than it was on Sunday either. After striking out 14 times against the A’s on Sunday, Twins hitters fanned 13 times on Tuesday.
Since taking a 2-1 lead in the top of the ninth on Saturday in Oakland, #MNTwins have been outscored 23-1.

Joe Mauer and Eduardo Nunez had the only Twins hits.
Leading 2-0 in the bottom of the sixth, the Angels blew the game open by scoring five runs in the inning. The explosion was highlighted by a three-run homer from Angels catcher Chris Iannetta.
Iannetta led the way, he finished 2-for-3 with the home run and four RBIs. C.J. Cron put together a big night, he was 4-for-4 with a run scored.
Albert Pujols was 2-for-4 with a run scored, the power-hitting first baseman had two infield hits Tuesday night. Daniel Robertson filled in admirably for Mike Trout, who didn’t play because of a sore left heel. Robertson finished 2-for-4 with a run scored.
Mike Pelfrey (5-6) takes the mound for the Twins on Wednesday night against Angels’ lefty C.J. Wilson.
