Patrick Beverley may be donning a Minnesota Timberwolves uniform again as Dane Moore reports that a “reunion with Minnesota is in the works.”
Moore says multiple teams are interested in Beverley for the playoff push. Beverley can sign wherever he wants if his contract is bought out by the Orlando Magic, who acquired him for center Mo Bamba in a trade with the Lakers Thursday, according to multiple reports.

But here’s the problem. NBA insider Marc Stein is reporting the opposite, that Minnesota “is not expected to pursue a reunion.”

On top of that, The Athletic’s Jon Krawcyznski says signing Beverley would force the Wolves to buy out another player and “that’s not how they usually operate.”

Khobi Price of the Orlando Sentinel was the first to report that Beverley is expected to be bought out. “It’s unlikely Beverley will play for the Magic,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have formally confirmed the blockbuster trade that sent D’Angelo Russell to the Lakers and brought Mike Conley to Minnesota from Utah, along with a trio of future second-round picks. Minnesota also confirmed that backup guard Bryn Forbes has been waived.
