Adrian Peterson is 505 yards shy of equaling Eric Dickerson’s NFL record of 2,105 rushing yards, and the former Rams running back doesn’t want Peterson to break his record. Dickerson told CBS Sports that Adrian seems like a “good dude” but he doesn’t think his record will be broken.
Peterson’s still in the mix to win MVP, but the award usually goes to quarterbacks, which he doesn’t think is fair. He says, “If that’s the case then you should make it a quarterback-only award.” He believes the MVP should go to the “best player,” regardless if they play for a winning or losing team.
AP didn’t practice Thursday. He was out with a minor abdominal injury. He is expected to play Sunday against the Rams.
