The surging Minnesota Twins face the struggling Cleveland Indians as they continue their seven-game road Monday night.
Minnesota starter Scott Diamond will open the three-game series in Cleveland. The lefty threw his first career shutout against the Tribe late last month.
Cleveland will counter with Zach McAllister. The Indians are looking to snap a nine-game skid as the Twins go for their sixth consecutive victory over the division rivals.
Meanwhile, Tsuyoshi Nishioka will be in uniform for the Twins on Monday night. The former Japanese batting champion is being promoted from Class AAA Rochester after the Twins traded Danny Valencia to the Red Sox on Sunday.
The Twins fell short of sweeping the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park on Sunday.
