Devin Booker finished with 35 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists to lead the Phoenix Suns to a 100-98 win over the Wolves at Target Center Saturday afternoon.
Minnesota rallied from a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter but came up short, although they had the ball and a chance to tie the game trailing 98-95 with under 30 seconds to play, but Karl-Anthony Towns fired a quick 3-pointer from about 10 feet beyond the 3-point line and missed, sealing the victory for the Suns.
Towns finished with 31 points and 17 rebounds. Andrew Wiggins scored 21 points for his ninth straight game with at least 20 points.
Minnesota played without Josh Okogie, Robert Covington, Jake Layman and Shabazz Napier, with three of the four dealing with injuries while Covington missed the game to be with family following a death in his family.
The loss drops the Wolves to 8-8 on the season. The Suns improved to 8-7.
