Samuel Deduno found his control and shut down the Mariners Wednesday night as the Twins ripped Seattle by a score of 10-0. Deduno was brilliant over seven innings, allowing just two hits while striking out nine. He didn’t walk any.
Offensively, the Twins were led by Trevor Plouffe, who may have busted out of a slump with a 2-4 night, including his 20th home run of the season. He finished with 4 RBI. Josh Willingham had two hits and smacked his 32nd homer of the season.
Joe Mauer, who reportedly cleared waivers before the game, led the Twins going 3-4 with a triple and two RBI.
