The Vikings had high hopes for tight end John Carlson when they signed him to a $25 million contract last summer, but those hopes were dashed thanks to an injury plagued season for the Litchfield, Minnesota native.
“It was a debacle,” Carlson said of his first season with the Vikings to the Pioneer Press. “I’m thankful to be out here and be healthy and have another opportunity.”
Carlson recently restructured his deal to stay with the Vikings. He’s now making $1.2 million in guaranteed money.
