Is Kirk Cousins one of the greats? He’s arguably one of the 10-15 best quarterbacks in the NFL today, but no one is putting his name next to Joe Montana, Tom Brady, Brett Favre, Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers.
That’s why if anyone takes what he said Wednesday as a cheap shot at Cousins, they’re wrong. Cook was expressing disappointment about not being able to take a handoff from Aaron Rodgers before the future Hall of Fame quarterback tore his Achilles in his Jets debut.
“I just wanted to take a carry from 8, man. Just get one from a great, man. Like I said, the game cheats you sometimes and I didn’t get that,” Cook said Wednesday.

Rodgers has four MVPs and a Super Bowl to his name. Cousins, despite some really great stats, is way below .500 in his career against opponents with a winning record. There’s a big difference between the two and Dalvin Cook is well aware of that fact.
