Golden State led from wire-to-wire Thursday night as the Warriors beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 129-116 at Target Center to remain unbeaten.
1. Curry puts up MVP numbers
Stephen Curry showed why he is the reigning NBA MVP. He scored 46 points on 15-of-25 shooting, while knocking down eight threes on the night.
Curry did a lot of his damage early, scoring 21 points in the first quarter. But he saved some for late, helping to put the game away after the Wolves threatened early in the fourth.
2. Bombs away
The Warriors set the tone early and never stopped going as they knocked down 18 three-pointers on the night. In addition to Curry’s eight, Draymond Green, Harrison Barnes, Klay Thompson and Ian Clark all hit two or more threes pointers.
The Wolves weren’t able to keep up, hitting just three from long range.
3. Another double-double
Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds. That gives Towns six double-doubles this season, putting him in some pretty elite company.
