There are conflicting reports regarding the future of Minnesota native Nate Wolters in Milwaukee.
According to Yahoo Sports, Adrian Wojnarowski the Bucks are waiving Wolters to open up a roster spot for 37-year-old Kenyon Martin – a former teammate of Bucks’ coach Jason Kidd.

Interestingly enough, Wolters’ agent had a different story for St. Cloud Times reporter Andy Rennecke.
Nate Wolters' agent, Jared Karnes, just told me that Wolters hasn't been released by the Milwaukee Bucks. Earlier reports were false.

Karnes said that something could happen in the near future with the Bucks and Wolters, but nothing official at this moment.

Wolters, 23, hasn’t been in Kidd’s rotation recently. He’s averaged just 2.3 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game in only 11 games this season.
But last season, as a rookie, the 6-foot-4 combo guard played a much more significant role. He averaged 7.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game, while averaging about 22.6 minutes a game and received 20 votes for the NBA’s 2014 All Rookie Team.
According to Pro Basketball Talk, the move seems to counter to what Milwaukee has been trying to do.
“The Bucks have preached a long-term vision around Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker, but this doesn’t follow it. And I don’t believe Martin, who’s farm from a lock to help at all on the court, justifies deviating from the plan.”
Pro Basketball Talk thinks if the Bucks do waive Wolters, a team will likely take a chance on him for the rest of the season. Wolters’ contract for this season is fully guaranteed and is fully non-guaranteed for next year, meaning if it didn’t work out, he can be waived with no penalty.
Wolters, a 2009 graduate of St. Cloud Tech High School, was a standout at South Dakota State University, where he was a four-year starter with the Jackrabbits and eventually led SDSU to its first ever NCAA tournament appearance as a senior.
He was named a 2012 third-team All-American by the Associated Press — the first player ever from the Summit League to earn such an honor.
