The Gopher men’s hockey team beat Michigan State 5-2 Friday night at Mariucci Arena.

Hudson Fasching had a pair of goals in the win for Minnesota, while Tommy Novak and Leon Bristedt each had a pair of assists for the Gophers.
Minnesota is now 10-10 overall and 5-2 in the Big Ten. The two teams continue their series on Saturday night at Mariucci Arena.

Minnesota State University and Michigan Tech skated to a 2-2 tie Friday night in Houghton, Michigan.
Michigan Tech’s Mark Auk scored the only goal in the third period to tie the game.
Zach Stepan and Jordan Nelson scored the two Maverick goals. Jimmy Mullin had a pair of assists in the game.
The series continues Saturday night in Houghton, Michigan.
St. Cloud State picks up 3-1 win over Minnesota Duluth
Kalle Kossila had a goal and an assist to lead St. Cloud State to a 3-1 victory Friday night at Minnesota Duluth.
It was Kossila’s 19th assist of the season to go with his ninth goal of the year.
Freshman Mikey Eyssimont opened the scoring – it was his fourth goal of the season. Blake Winiecki added St. Cloud’s other goal.
Husky goaltender Charlie Lindgren made 28 saves.
The series will continue on Saturday night.
