Gopher men sweep Buckeyes with another OT win
It was Leon Bristedt’s turn to get the Gophers an overtime victory Saturday night, as he scored 1:21 into overtime to beat Ohio State 5-4 Saturday night at Mariucci Arena.

The Gophers also got two goals from Tyler Sheehy and one apiece from Michael Brodzinski and Justin Kloos.
The win caps a weekend sweep of the Buckeyes to open Big Ten conference play.
Bulldogs sweep Western Michigan
Minnesota Duluth defeated Western Michigan 6-2 Saturday night in Duluth to complete the weekend sweep. Austin Farley scored two power-play goals, while Tony Cameranesi and Parker Mackay each scored in a four-goal outburst that put the game away for the Bulldogs. Twelve UMD players scored points on the night.
Huskies lose big to Nebraska-Omaha
St. Cloud State lost to Nebraska-Omaha 7-2 Saturday night in St. Cloud. Omaha scored three goals in the second and third periods, while goalie Evan Weninger made 31 saves to get the win. It was just the second loss at home for the Huskies this season, and snapped a four-game winning streak.
Bemidji State drops 2-1 loss to Ferris State
Bemidji State lost to Ferris State 2-1 Saturday night after winning the series opener 2-0 Friday night.
Jordan Heller scored the Beavers’ only goal in the first period, while Ferris State scored one each in the second and third periods to salvage a series split. The loss snapped a four-game (3-0-1) unbeaten streak for the Beavers.
Mavericks and Bowling Green tie again
For the second straight night, Minnesota State and No. 14 Bowling Green skated to a 2-2 overtime tie in Bowling Green. Jon Jutzi and Zeb Knutson scored for the Mavericks, and freshman goalie Jason Pawloski stopped 31 shots.
