Chris Colabello tore up the International League this year, and is being rewarded for his hot bat.
The league office announced Tuesday that Colabello, 29, is the International League’s MVP and Rookie of the Year.
In 89 games with the Rochester Red Wings, Colabello hit .352, with 24 home runs and 76 RBIs.
Right now, Colabello is on the Twins major league roster, and will likely stay there until the end of the year. In 31 games with the big club, he’s hitting .204 with four home runs and eight RBIs.
The Twins signed him before the 2012 season, after a seven-year sting in the independent Can-Am League.
