HOUSTON — Chris Colabello’s 9th-inning grand slam powered the Twins to an impressive come-from-behind 10-6 win against the Houston Astros Monday at Minute Maid Park.
It was Colabello’s second homer of the day, as he drove in five runs to help Minnesota rally from a 6-2 deficit to win their 60th game of the year.
Brian Dozier and Trevor Plouffe also homered for the Twins.
Andrew Albers started for Minnesota, but he didn’t make it out of the second inning, giving up five runs on nine hits. Josh Roenicke, who pitched two scoreless innings of relief, picked up the win.
Minnesota continues its three-game set in Houston Tuesday night before returning home Friday to open a 10-game homestand at Target Field.
