The full schedule for the 2020 Twins Winter Caravan has been announced and it’ll feature four groups of players, coaches and broadcasters make stops around Minnesota Jan. 20-23.
Group 1: Luis Arraez, Jack Morris, Lewis Thorpe, Dick Bremer, Trevor Larnach
This group will be on the road Jan. 20-21 and making stops in Thief River Falls, Fargo, Brainerd and Duluth.
On Monday, Jan. 20, they’ll be at Northland Community and Technical College in Thief River Falls from 2 p.m. to 3:15 p.m., then travel to Fargo where they’ll meet fans at 6:30 p.m. at the Sanctuary Events Center. Twins President Dave St. Peter will also join the group in Fargo.
On Tuesday, Jan. 21, the same group will head to Brainerd and Duluth. The stop in Brainerd will be at 2 p.m. at a location yet to be announced. They’ll be at Duluth’s Adventure Zone Canal Park at 6:30 p.m., where Chief Baseball Officer Derek Falvey will join the group.
Group 2: Rocco Baldelli, Dan Gladden, Wes Johnson, Randy Dobnak
These guys will be on the road Jan. 20-21 and making stops in Minneapolis, St. Cloud, Glencoe and St. Paul.
First up is the Minneapolis stop from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 20 at the Cambria Gallery on 7th, located at 625 2nd Ave. S. From there they’ll drive up Interstate 94 and meet fans in St. Cloud at 6 pm. at the Rivers Edge Convention Center. General Manager Thad Levine will join in St. Cloud.
On the 21st, they’ll be in Glencoe at noon at a place to be determined, then take the caravan east to St. Paul where they’ll be at Jimmy’s Event Center at 7 p.m. for the Baseball Old Timers Hot Stove League’s 80th annual banquet.
Group 3: Ehire Adrianza, Tony Oliva, Kris Atterberry, Brent Rooker
These guys hit the road Wednesday, Jan. 22-23 with stops in Worthington, Sioux Falls, New Ulm and Mankato.
On Wednesday the 22nd, they’ll start with a private stop in Worthington before headed to Sioux Falls for a 6:30 p.m. event with the public at the Elmer Center at Augustana University. They’ll get some sleep and travel to New Ulm for a private stop at New Ulm Middle School, followed by a 6:30 p.m. session at The Keto Ballroom in Mankato.Group 4: Jake Cave, Cory Provus, Bert Blyleven, Alex KirilloffThis foursome will be in Hastings for a private stop at the Hastings Veterans Home on Wednesday, Jan. 22, followed by a public stop in Rochester a the Empire Event Center around 6 p.m. They wrap up the caravan on Thursday, Jan.23 at Whalen’s at Westfield in Winona, followed by a 6:30 p.m. appearance at the Parlay Lounge inside Treasure Island Resort and Casino in Welch, Minnesota at 6:30 p.m. Every stop on the caravan will include a traditional “Hot Stove” program during the evenings, and stops will also feature a “Playball” initiative to get kids involved in baseball activities with Twins players.
