Leslie Frazier addressed the media at Winter Park today and at long last named a starting quarterback.
After posturing back and forth for some time about whether Christian Ponder or Matt Cassel would be under center against Carolina Sunday, Frazier tabbed Cassel as the one to lead the Vikings in the quest for their second win of the season.

Cassel threw for 248 yards and two touchdowns against Pittsburgh in the Vikings last contest two weeks ago, replacing the injured Christian Ponder.
Ponder all but said Cassel would be the starter Wednesday in a press conference, showing dejection and telling the media “the dynamics of the organization have changed.”
Newly acquired Josh Freeman will serve as the third-string QB Sunday.
One other note from the presser, Frazier said kicker Blair Walsh is questionable with a hamstring injury. If Walsh can’t kick, punter Jeff Locke will handle those duties.
