Cris Carter, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this summer, will be presented with his ring during halftime of the Vikings-Redskins game at the Metrodome Thursday night.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame reports that it is purposely designed to coincide with a national television audience, much as the HOF will do with Warren Sapp during Monday Night Football next week, and notes that “Carter, one of the most prolific receivers in NFL history, will take center stage at halftime on Thursday night’s game in Minnesota as the Vikings host the Washington Redskins.”
Vikings update says it’s “a fitting end for a man whose NFL career was on the verge of being cut short before he came to Minnesota and became a superstar talent.”
