The Vikings were already in sole possession of first place in the NFC North so they didn’t really need Carson Wentz to treat the Bears like a little league team on Monday Night Football, but he did as the Eagles torched the Bears 29-14.
Wentz finished 21-of-34 for 190 yards and 1 touchdown. He would have had a bigger night had Jordan Matthews held on to a surefire long touchdown in the second quarter.

The Bears are now 0-2 while the Packers and Lions are 1-1. The Vikings are 2-0 with a tough test coming Week 3 at Carolina.
Wentz is the first rookie quarterback in NFL history to win his first two starts without his team committing a turnover.
For Wentz, who won five national championships at NDSU, this is pretty much routine.
“I came out pretty much same routine,” Wentz said, via the Philadelphia Inquirer. “It was a cool stage, Monday Night Football, everything was sweet. But again, it was a football game, and we came out with a win.”
Wentz had a couple of cupcakes against the Browns and Bears but his Week 3 matchup with the Steelers should be a lot more challenging.
