Minnesota Gophers senior guard Carlos Morris has been dismissed from the team for “conduct detrimental to the team,” according to a statement from head coach Richard Pitino.

When asked if the dismissal was related to basketball or off-court conduct, Pitino said, via video from the Pioneer Press:
“It was definitely something that happened. I’m not going to get into details of what it was. Something happened, we addressed it, and we move on.”
The University of Minnesota confirmed in an email to BringMeTheNews.com that Morris will continue to receive academic and scholarship support from the U of M through the rest of the year.
Pitino: "I've got a program to run here. There's certain things that you have to live up to…You have to do what's best for the program."
