Minnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa received good news on his injured middle finger on Friday after tests showed he does not have a fracture and is listed as day-to-day.
“This is great news for [Carlos] and great news for us,” Twins President of Baseball Operations Derek Falvey said via Dan Hayes of The Athletic. “At this stage I’m not thinking of extended absence.”
Correa was injured on Thursday night when he was hit by a pitch on his right hand during the series finale against the Baltimore Orioles. Initial tests revealed the possibility of a fractured finger but after further testing on Friday, Falvey said Correa’s finger is only “bruised and sore.”
Thank you Lord 🙏🏽

While Correa recovers, Royce Lewis has been recalled by the Twins and will make his major league debut on Friday night.
