The St. Louis Cardinals rallied to beat the Twins, 4-3 in a spring training game Monday afternoon.
The story of the game was the start for Mike Pelfrey. The Twins right-hander allowed just one run in five innings — his longest outing of spring training. He lowered his ERA to 5.52.
Meanwhile, the Twins could have a surprise bench player make the team. Patrick Reusse of the Star Tribune says 27-year-old Wilkin Ramirez could join Darin Mastroianni, Jamey Carroll and Eduardo Escobar as reserves.
