The Phoenix Cardinals safety who sidelined Vikings tight end John Carlson with a concussion has been fined $21,000 for the hit by the NFL, NBC Sports reported.
The league handed out the fine to Rashad Johnson Friday. Johnson hit Carlson with a blindside block in the Vikings 21-14 win over the Cardinals Oct. 21.
Carlson missed Thursday game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Coach Leslie Frazier said he’s doesn’t believe Carlson’s season is in jeopardy because of the concussion.
